Before a ruckus crowd of Knick fans at the Barclay's Center, Knicks rookie Kristaps Porzingas was introduced to his new home. But the introduction was nothing close to a dream, maybe even a nightmare because New York Knick faithfuls filled the Brooklyn arena with boos and chants of why.
The 7'3'' Lativa-native can now put that unforgettable night behind him with the high level of play he has shown to start the season. Following a 29-point outting on Tuesday night and a few monsters dunks in the 12 games he's played, the big man's #6 jersey has flown off the shelves.
According to the daily news, as of Wednesday afternoon, Modell’s online store was sold out of Porzingis No. 6 jerseys, and the Modell’s store next to MSG was down to nine Porzingis items, according to Dave Brown, a Modell’s license buyer.
To put things in to better perspective, there are only 40 (Yes, 40) Porzinghas jersey's left in New York. Porzinghas is averaging 12.8 points and 8.6 rebounds and if he flourishes into the player Phil Jackson expects him to be, the Knicks GM would indeed be the Zen Master.
